An APC uninterruptible power supply (UPS) provides superior power protection
to all attached network devices such as servers, gateways, hubs and routers. The
increased demand for power protection, including a method which allows users
to proactively manage, organise and protect their devices, is paramount in
today’s society. Administrators require the highest amount of availability (up-
time) possible from their networks and have zero tolerance for downtime.
APC’s line of accessories provides administrators with the ability to manage net-
works by reducing hardware and software corruption while creating greater effi-
ciencies of their systems’ devices. APC works hard to ensure that our customers
have the right solution for their application needs.

“We knew we wanted to continue with APC, but as we began the upgrade, we had to go
through the bidding process and we looked at a lot of manufacturers and a lot of servers. As
we were comparing, we found that APC fit with every vendor we evaluated. And of all the
vendors, APC was the easiest to install. Their new cabinets have a wonderful, durable design
and they fit our needs to a ‘T’. This year we’ve gone through a complete infrastructure upgrade,
and we’ve installed 50 APC NetShelters
®
and 50 APC Smart-UPS
®
systems.

“To protect our systems, we have four APC Symmetra
Power Arrays
protecting all of our pro-
duction servers: four Sun servers running Solaris with an Oracle database, an HP K100 run-
ning HPUX, and six HP NetServers running NT. We also use APC’s PowerNet
®
SNMP Adapter
for power monitoring and control. And in some of our remote offices, APC UPSs
protect production and mail servers to ensure 100 percent uptime.
