Connecting MasterSwitch VM

Setting up for

devices with

dual power

cords

To cascade MasterSwitch VM units that are connected to

devices (servers) with dual power cords:

1. Set up the MasterSwitch VM units and the controller as

described in “Setting up multiple units” on page 18.

2. Plug each power cord of a dual-corded device into a

separate MasterSwitch VM unit for redundancy.

3. Use the MasterSwitch VM network interface to

configure the redundant units on the same synchronized

set.

Note

To ensure that both MasterSwitch VM units

turn power off simultaneously, you must

configure them on the same synchronized

set.
