Note:TheUPScancontinuetosupplyACpowertotheloaduntilallACandDCsources

havebeendisconnected.Thebuilt-inEPOfunctiondisconnectsonlytheinternalDC

sources.Tofullyde-energizeallACandDCpowerintheUPS,theupstreamcircuitbreaker

protectingtheinputfeedercircuittotheUPSmustbeprovided(byothers)withatripping

mechanism(usuallyashunttrip).Thestatusoftheupstreamexternalcircuitbreakercanbe

monitoredviathecircuitbreaker’saux.switchattheMaintenanceBypassPanelinterface.

Note:Theremotedisconnectcontrol(EPOstation)mustprovideadrycontactsignal

(normallyopenornormallyclosed)totheUPSandsimultaneouslyprovideasignaltothe

tripmechanismontheupstreamexternalcircuitbreakerfeedingtheUPS.

TheUPScanbeconnectedtoeitheradrycontactoranexternal24VDCsource.

TheEPOcircuitisconsideredClass2andSELV(SafetyExtraLowvoltage).ASELVcircuitisisolated

fromprimarycircuitrythroughanisolatingtransformeranddesignedsothatundernormalconditions,

thevoltageislimitedto42.4Vacpeakor60VDC.SELVandClass2circuitsmustbeisolatedfromall

primarycircuitry.DonotconnectanycircuittotheEPOterminalblockunlessitcanbeconﬁrmedthat

thecircuitisSELVorClass2.
