2.1 Identifying equipment
This section is to help identifying and unpacking all received equipment and where
to use it. Verify name plate on equipment to ensure that correct voltage/power
ratings have been received.
Main UPS system.
This is the battery back-up system. Unconditioned
power is fed to the UPS input and condition power
is received from the UPS output.
Service bypass panel.
The service bypass panel is used for supplying the
critical load from utility power while the UPS is shut-
down for maintenance. All AC power connections
should run through this panel.
External MCCB/Fuse box.
This is used, if the external battery cabinet does not
have an internal disconnection and an overcurrent
protection, or if battery racks are used. If the batteries
are located out of the UPS site, then external MCCB
should be used near the UPS for proper disconnection
of power.
NOTE!
A lift truck will be required to lift
some of the equipment off the
pallet, unless special inside
delivery was requested of the
shipping company. Once off the
pallet, all equipment can be
moved, lifting from underneath
using a fork lift, pallet jack, or
special moving equipment.
NOTE!
If you have any questions
regarding the equipment you
receive please contact your
local APC representative or call
APC support (Listed in chapter
7).
