APC NetworkAIR CM Series: Guide Specifications 31
rated cooling capacity with an inlet air temperature of 95° F (35° C). The
condenser section shall be ___________ (close-coupled or remote).
Air-cooled with remote outdoor propeller type air-cooled condenser.
The refrigeration system shall consist of a copper tube/aluminum fin
evaporator coil, hermetic compressor with vibration isolators, high pressure
switch, filter/drier, sight glass, and externally equalized expansion valve. The
remote outdoor propeller type air-cooled condenser shall consist of a copper
tube/aluminum fin condenser coil and a direct-drive propeller fan(s). The
fan(s) shall be statically and dynamically balanced. The fan blades are
aluminum and riveted to painted steel spider and hub. Head pressure control
down to -20° F shall be achieved via condenser fan speed control based on
condensing pressure.
Air-cooled with remote outdoor propeller type air-cooled condensing
unit.
The refrigeration system shall consist of a copper tube/aluminum fin
evaporator coil, pump down solenoid valve, and externally equalized
expansion valve. The remote outdoor propeller type air-cooled condensing
unit shall consist of a copper tube/aluminum fin condenser coil and a direct-
drive propeller fan(s). The fan blades are aluminum and riveted to painted
steel spider and hub. Head pressure control down to -20° F shall be achieved
by installation of flooded controls. A head pressure control valve shall bypass
the condenser coil to maintain a desirable condensing temperature.
Water/glycol-cooled with close-coupled condenser. The evaporator
section and condenser section shall be factory assembled and ship as one-
piece. The system shall be pre-charged with refrigerant an require no inter-
connecting piping or brazing. The refrigeration system shall consist of
hermetic compressor with vibration isolators, high pressure switch, filter/
drier, sight glass, co-axial water-cooled condenser, water/glycol regulating
valve, and externally equalized expansion valve. The system shall have a
waterside pressure drop of _______ psi (_______ kPa) at a water/glycol flow
rate of _______ GPM (______ L/s) with an entering water/glycol
temperature of _______° F (______° C). The water/glycol regulating valve
shall be factory installed and be _______ (2-way or 3-way). The design
pressure for the water/glycol circuit shall be _______ (150 psi (1034 kPa) or
350 psi (2413 kPa)).
Chilled water
systems
Chilled water piping. The chilled water control valve shall be factory
installed and be ________ (2-way or 3-way) with a design pressure rating of
________ PSI (________ kPa).
Chilled water coil. The chilled water cooling coil shall be constructed of
copper tubes and aluminum fins and be mounted in a stainless steel
condensate drain pan. The drain pan shall be equipped with dual condensate
overflow safety switches. The coil shall have a minimum face area of
_______ ft² (_______ m²) and be _______ rows deep. The maximum coil
face velocity shall be ______ ft/m (______ m/s) at ______ CFM (_____ L/s).
Capacity, chilled water flow rate, and system pressure drop shall be based on
an entering water temperature of 45° F (7.2° C) and leaving water
temperature of 55° F (12.8°C). The system shall be supplied with
__________ GPM (_______ L/s) with a pressure drop not to exceed
________ PSI (_____ kPa).
