Create an iSCSI target
1. Click Create to open the configurations window, specify the following options:

Delete an iSCSI target
Select the iSCSi target you want to delete and click Delete.
Modify the iSCSI target
Select the iSCSi target you want to modify and click Update.
2.8.2.2.4 CHAP User
CHAP (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol) authentication for securing iSCSI connection. Each success
connection MUST has the same CHAP User name and Secret (password) at both iSCSI initiator and target side, or the
connection fail.
Click CHAP User icon to open the configurations window and click Back if you want return to the page of iSCSI ports.

2.8.2.2.5 iSNS
iSNS (internet storage name service) facilitates the automated discovery,iSCSI initiators and iSCSI targets on a iSCSI
network. Registering an iSNS server, iSCSI target will be easily and automatically recovery by registered iSCSI initiator in
the same LAN.
Click iSNS icon to open the configurations window and click Back if you want return to the page of iSCSI ports.
Add an iSNS server
1. Click Add to open the configurations window, specify the following

IST ID Specifies an iSCSI target identification. The maximum number is 8.
Name Specifies an IQN name. The maximum length of the name is 223.
Alias Specifies an Alias name. The maximum length of the alias name is 63.
Auth.Method None / CHAP
Target Binding Port Select the ISP ports bound to target.
CHAP User Name Specifies the CHAP User name. The maximum length of the name is 16.
CHAP Secret Specifies the CHAP Secret. The length of CHAP Secret must between 12
and 16 characters.
CHAP Member Select the IST target to Bind IST windows as CHAP member.
Note
Up to 8 CHAP users.
CHAP Secret (password) must be 12 characters at least.
Server Address
Specifies the IP address of iSNS.
Port
Specifies the port number. Default is 3205.
Note
Support Primary and Secondary iSNS server.
