How to add circuit breakers and power cables

Add a circuit breaker.

1. Remove the panel cover to access the circuit breaker panel.To remove, loosen the captive

screws at each corner of the cover and pull it off of the system.

2. At the circuit breaker panel, snap and bolt the new breaker into a position on the panel.

3. Remove the corresponding plastic blanking plate on the panel cover, and re-attach the cover to

the system.

Only licensed electricians or APC Field Service Engineers can add circuit

breakers and power cables to the system. Read the information in “Warnings”

on page 2 before beginning any work on the system.

Any 3-phase power cable that is installed by an electrical contractor must be installed

with a 3-pole breaker.
